Role of Technology in Buying and Selling a Property

Technology has revolutionized the way human beings do things in their everyday life. There is not a single thing that has not affected by this technological revolution. One of the fields that has been affected is real estate.

National Association of Realtors on March 24 reported that video home tour requests have been spiked by 500%. It indicates that those people who have been in this field for a long time need to develop those technological literacies. It looks like traditional advertisement tactics and tools are not enough for real estate salespersons and brokers to promote theirs listings and sales. Time has been very tricky at the same time that just developing technological skills are not enough, depending upon who is one’s target buyers and/or sellers are and what cultural and linguistic backgrounds they come from, it is equally important for them to develop these skills.

COVID-19 was the dominant factor for this surge of technology use in the real estate field. Due to lockdown, social distancing, physical distancing and so on, it is not possible to visit a property of interest and perform other property buying and selling activities in person. It is not certain how long will this pandemic last, and real estate people have to depend on technology. This use of technology, instead of harming a real estate business, is helping this sector to maintain or boost its activities. Listing a property, designing virtual tour of the property of interest and other things are possible. As a result, the property sale has set a record lately!
